Arsenal lost the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain 1-0, but coach Mikel Arteta believes his side still have the ability to pull off a comeback in the return leg.

In the press conference after the game, Arteta talked about the performance, key details and the strategy for the second leg. Arteta said: "We have only played the 'first half' now. Just like we beat Real Madrid 3-0 at home, my message to the players is very clear, we must go to Paris and win the game.

"We have the quality. The two teams were of similar level tonight, and the difference was only in the details. PSG's efficiency in the frontcourt and the goalkeeper's key saves determined the outcome of the game."

"In the first 15 to 20 minutes, the opponent played a wonderful combination to score a goal, but we corrected the key problems in time and controlled the latter part of the game. If you want to advance to the Champions League final, you have to make a special performance at a certain moment, and we need to do this in Paris."

When talking about Paris Saint-Germain's tactical arrangement, Arteta revealed: "Some of our handling of the ball was not ideal, which made it impossible to organize an effective attack. If you can't launch an attack, they will press forward, which is the situation they want and we must avoid it."

When asked if the second leg requires a completely different performance, Arteta said bluntly: "I don't think we need to change too much. The gap in this game is very small. But if we can play better, then hopefully the score will be better."
